"Stranger Things, season 2" [Atomic Fiction] (2017)

At Atomic we did a lot of creature work for 7 or 8 episodes of "Stranger Things", season 2. Most of my shots involved "DemoDogs", a quadrupedal stage of the Demogorgon. I had a lot of fun running through the lab, and climbing around the upside down world. Some of the other tasks included animating some of the livelier vines slithering around and I got a chance to help FX wrangle shadowman's tentacles in a few shots. It was a pretty entertaining project.

Revolutionary War period piece. I did about twenty shots of people getting stabbed with bayonettes, along with a half dozen set extensions.

This was a spoof that Discovery Channel did to kick off "Shark Week". I did a lot of the "Live Action" sharks as well as the "Live Action" Megladon shots. I heard Discovery got a lot of blowback from airing a mockumentary.

This is one of a series of shows that I did with a couple of other 3D Generalists. This particular show, I did all aspects of acts 2 and 3 for a total of 76 shots. Three hero creatures, a CG environment, and all the rigging, animation, and compositing. Loads of creature fun, but a lot of work.

This was a show treating various locations of the body as environments and the local bacteria, viruses, and parasites as the wildlife. I produced 13 shots, mostly fly throughs of my skin and hair environments.

When meteors, asteroids and planets start colliding, you need a lot of particles. I did 14 shots for this show, most of them thousand frame particle simulations.

This was the first show I did with the Workaholics team. I did a dozen shots with my own models as well as pre-made models. We also used plates in some shots, and CG backgrounds in others.

We did a bunch of beauty work to make the actresses look younger. It involved a lot of rotoing of eyebags, wrinkles and veins. It's amazing what a little blur can do. I'm somewhat amazed that they went on and did a second movie with the same cast..

This was the second of two projects that we did with Stan Lee. I worked as the FX Supervisor, overseeing a 8 man team. The project was mostly sprucing up 2D animation with compositing effects and a little CG here and there.

I got a chance to work on an episode of King of the Hill.(Also produced at Film Roman.). I did about twenty shots of bees, integrating 3D bees into the 2D show. I had a lot of fun being exposed to a traditional animation pipeline.

This is the first project we did with the Simpsons production. It was a simpson spoof of Pixar's "Cars". All the characters were cards. We got to create some 3D CG characters in the Simpson style.
